Dr. Gerhard Plenert was recently the Shingo Prize Institute's Director of Executive Education.  This is faculty position in the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

As a consultant, Dr. Gerhard Plenert has been helping organizations execute operational and supply chain transformations for more than twenty years.  Dr. Plenert was also a tenured full professor at California State University, Chico, and a professor at BYU Provo, BYU Hawaii, the University of Malaysia, and the University of San Diego. 

In his private life, Gerhard is a world traveler and has published over 30 books.  He has always been an avid fantasy, suspense / mystery, and science fiction reader.  With that passion he wrote a series of novels.   He lives in Virgin, Utah and has been married to his wife for over forty years.  Together they have eight children and fifteen grandchildren.
